Vietnam Weather in February 2023

February is spring in Northern Vietnam, about to be the end of the rainy season in the Central Coast, the dry season with pleasant temperatures in the Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam.

In February the North still to receive spells of the Northeasterly Wind but the Southeasterly Wind starts impacting the region. The air becomes moist and it is foggy often. Also there may be light drizzles which are called ‘rain dusts’ in local language. The temperatures are often pleasant in Northern Vietnam in February. The extreme Northwest of Vietnam (Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Son La) may enjoy warmer temperatures, sunny days as the Northeasterly Wind may be too weak to travel this far.

February is a good time for adventure tours in the far northern mountains: trekking tours, bike tours and motorcycle tours.

The Central Coast of Vietnam still have rain but the rain is much lighter and rainy days are alternated by dry days with overcast skies. February is about to be a good time to travel in the Central Coast as the rain is light and should not affect much visits to tourist sites.

The Central Highlands and the South of Vietnam are normally to have the most beautiful weather in a year: pleasant temperatures and dry weather wit lovely sun. Traveling in the Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam be it adventure tours, beach holidays… are all great. The sun is mild and the temperatures are very pleasant.
