In the Central Coast of Vietnam, April is often the beginning of the dry season. The temperatures are pleasant mostly, and warm sometimes.

The Central Highlands and South of Vietnam are more likely to enjoy bright sunshine mostly. The temperatures range from chilly to pleasant or warm in the Central Highlands ; from warm to hot in southern Vietnam.

The prevalent winds which affect different places in Vietnam in April :
- The Northeasterly Wind causes dry weather or damp air in the lowland, and pleasant, cool temperatures in northern Vietnam. The wind is weak in April though.

- The Central Coast of Vietnam starts coming under the influence of the Westerly Wind (a foehn wind) from Laos which is dry and warm. Still, there are days that the Central Coast may come under the influence of the Northeasterly Wind still which causes pleasant temperatures.

- The Northeasterly Wind is too weak in April to have impact in the Central Highlands and in southern Vietnam. These two regions are to have dry weather with pleasant or warm temperatures depending on the altitudes.

In April, the Northeasterly Wind, if present, is very weak. The wind does not cause rough sea.
