The Yok Don National Park is 40km to the west of Buon Ma Thuot City, right on the border between Vietnam and Cambodia. This is the only national park in Vietnam with dipterocarp forest which is deciduous.
The Bidoup Nui Ba National Park is located on the Langbiang Plateau with the averaged altitudes of around 1,500m above sea level. The terrain of the national park includes rolling hills, high mountains covered in pine forest, primary forest.

Xuan Thuy National Park is in Giao Thuy District, Nam Dinh Province, 150km southeast of Hanoi. The national park is on a rivermouth where the Red River discharges its water into the East Sea. The national park is listed as a Ramsar site and one of Global Biosphere Reserves by the UNESCO.
Cuc Phuong National Park is in Ninh Binh Province, 130km south of Hanoi. The national park includes primary forest on limestone mountains. The forest of Cuc Phuong is thick which requires special skills from twitchers to have great bird photography.
The Cat Tien National Park is in Nam Cat Tien Commune of Dong Nai Province, hence once referred to as the Nam Cat Tien National Park. The national park is 160km from either Da Lat or Saigon Ho Chi Minh City.
Van Long Wetland Reserve is 80km south of Hanoi via Route 1. The nature reserve, which covers an area of 3,000 hectares, is home to the critically endangered species of Delacour's langur which is found at Cuc Phuong, Van Long and Kim Bang Forest only.
Di Linh Forest is 80km from either Da Lat or Cat Tien National Park. The area is perched on the Di Linh Plateau with the average altitude of 800m above sea level.
The Phia Oac - Phia Den (correctly spelled as Phja Oac - Phja Den) is located in Nguyen Binh District, Cao Bang Province, northeastern Vietnam. The national park is 70km west of Cao Bang City via Route 34, the provincial capital of the eponymous province. The national park is 250km north of Hanoi via Route 3 and Route 279.
