Xuan Thuy National Park is in Giao Thuy District, Nam Dinh Province, 150km southeast of Hanoi. The national park is on a rivermouth where the Red River discharges its water into the East Sea. The national park is listed as a Ramsar site and one of Global Biosphere Reserves by the UNESCO.

Nam Dinh Province is in the Red River Delta, 90km south-east of Hanoi, 90km southwest of Hai Phong City and 20km west of Thai Binh City, 30km southwest of Ninh Binh City.

Xuan Thuy National Park is in Giao Thuy District, Nam Dinh Province. The national park was the first one in Vietnam registered to the List of Ramsar Wetlands of International Importance by the UNESCO. The national park covers an area of 12,000 hectares.
