The 2nd Typhoon coded Mulan

The 2nd Typhoon coded Mulan had its impacts in Vietnam from 09-August through 11-August which made landfall on the coast between Quang Ninh – Hai Phong. The typhoon caused much rain in the mountainous regions in northern Vietnam. 


Flooded places were recorded in Lao Cai, Hoa Binh, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Nam Dinh. 

Rainfall recorded ranges from 182-270mm in Hanoi, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa.

The 3rd Typhoon coded Maon

The 3rd Typhoon coded Maon had its impacts in Vietnam from 23 through 26-August-2022. The typhoon made landfall on the Chinese coast brushing along the coast all the way to Quang Ninh Province in the Northeast of Vietnam.

Typhoon Maon caused torrential rain in most of northern Vietnam and North of the Central Region of Vietnam (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh).

 Several flooded places were recorded: several places in Quang Ninh, Hai Phong City, Son Duong (Tuyen Quang), several places in Bac Kan Province, Viet Tri City (Phu Tho), several places in Son La, Hoa Binh.
