Nam Dam Village, Quan Ba, Ha Giang

The Nam Dam Village (in Quan Ba District, Ha Giang Province) is 2km from Tam Son Town, home to Dzao Cham People. Traditionally the villagers got income from agriculture and from growing traditional herbs. Since 2012 community tourism was introduced to the Dong Van Plateau and tourists started to trickle in bringing extra incomes to the locals.

The village has not only the chaste beauty of the rock plateau but also a wild forest, and rich Dao traditional culture. The highlights of a trip to Nam Dam include authentic daily life of local Dao people, their traditional herbal medicine business, their traditional houses and costumes… At night, traditional performances and exchange of cultures by the fire further enrich guests’ experiences.
