Quan Ba Gateway to Heaven is on Route 4C in Quyet Tien Commune, Quan Ba District, Ha Giang Province. The pearly gate of Quan Ba is right on top of the Bac Sum Pass (Bac Sum Gradient) on an altitude of 1,500m.

As you travel from Ha Giang to the Dong Van Plateau, you are to travel on the Bac Sum Pass which goes uphill all the way to Quan Ba. Once you have passed Quan Ba Township, there’s a hill on your left with steps to the observation point which is the Heaven Gates of Quan Ba.

From the Heaven Gates of Quan Ba, we can have 360-degree panoramic views of the surrounding with myriad mountain peaks in view which look just spectacular.

How to get there

From Hanoi we travel to Ha Giang via Route 2. Continue on Route 4C onto Vi Xuyen District and we will be on the Bac Sum Pass as the terrain lifts abruptly. After a while, we’ll be on top of everything: mountain peaks lining the horizon, villages which look tiny below, roads just like thin threads… which means you are on top of the Bac Sum Pass and the Quan Ba Gateway to Heaven is just nearby. The site is 48-50km north of Ha Giang City.
