Detailed itinerary

Day1 Hanoi – Hoa Binh - Lung Van Valley (Valley of the Clouds, Tan Lac District) – Ba Village on top of Pu Luong Nature Reserve (L/D)

0800 Pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi. Then our adventure continues through scenic countryside with amazing mountains all the way to Hoa Binh City. Then the terrain goes up and you can feel the air starts getting cooler.

After we have passed the captivating mountains at Muong Khen, we turn into a small road which goes up all the way. We can feel the air gets cooler suddenly as the elevation goes up abruptly and the mountains get even more and more scenic all along the way.

Soon we will find ourselves in the ancient land of Muong Bi, the highest of the lands of the Muong People in Hoa Binh Province: Lung Van – Valley of the Clouds. Lung Van is lovely with lush corn plantation on stunning hillsides and rice fields in the valley center. We will have a walk around the valley to take in the fresh air and have some nice photos.

Then, the road goes up further for about 10km to Son – Muoi – Ba (or Son – Ba – Muoi as often referred to) which is the highest settlement of those in the Pu Luong Nature Reserve which is home to the Thai People. Our home for the next two nights is at the Ba Village.

Day2 Walking Tour of the Ba Village and the Surrounding Pristine Nature (B/L/D)

Breakfast at the homestay.
Half a day walking tour of the Ba Village and take in the fresh sublime nature of the Pu Luong Nature Reserve: rice terraces, mountains and a glimpse of the dense forest of Pu Luong. We will not venture deep into the forest on this adventure though.
Lunch and dinner at the homestay.
Overnight at the Ba Village.

Day3 Walking Tour through a bamboo wood/ Ba Village - Tan Lac - Hoa Binh - Hanoi (B/L)

Breakfast at the homestay.
Enjoy a walking tour through a bamboo wood and enjoy the sublime landscape of Pu Luong from different angle. We’ll get back to the homestay in time for lunch.
After lunch, our car transfers us back to Hanoi on the same road that we got here. We’ll arrive back in the city at around 17:00-1800 hours.
