The Villa Branche - White Villa (Bach Dinh) is perched on the southern slope of the Big Mountain (Nui Lon) in Vung Tau City. The villa on the height of 27m overlooks the Bai Truoc Beach (Front Beach) and is surrounded by trees. From the White Villa you can have great views of part of Vung Tau City as well as the ocean.

The villa was built by the French in 1898-1902. It was a resort for different French General Governors of Indochina. And it was where King Thanh Thai was jailed by the French in 1907-1916.

In 1934 this was a resort reserved for King Bao Dai and his wife, Queen Nam Phuong. Later the villa was a resort for officials of South Vietnam Republic.

Now, this is a museum displaying artefacts rescued from a shipwreck off Hon Cau - Con Dao islands and from various archaeological sites in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.

The lighthouse is located between the Front Beach and the Rear Beach (Thuy Van Beach).
