Lung Ho Valley is located in Yen Minh District, Ha Giang Province. The valley is well hidden by ranges of serrated limestone peaks and rarely visited by tourists due to bad road.

The valley is north of the Du Gia Valley and south of the Mau Due Valley. If we travel via Provincial Route 176 either northward or southward then we’ll travel through these amazing places.

While the Du Gia Valley and Mau Due Valley have some lush green colors with rice terraces, the Lung Ho Valley is characterized by several peaks of karst mountains with slaty-black colors.

Apart from the breathtaking natural landscape, Lung Ho also has idyllic H’mong Villages separated by imposing mountain ranges.

And for those who are interested in history, there is a ruin of a former French post and a defensive wall running along the mountain ranges which sandwich the road between Lung Ho and Duong Thuong. The French set up a stronghold here to monitor the operations by the Vietnamese revolutionary elements in 1935-1940.

How to get there

Lung Ho Valley is 30km southwest of Yen Minh Township. The valley can be accessed from Yen Minh via provincial route 182 or via the provincial route 176 via either Mau Due or Du Gia.
