Annam Limestone Babbler 
(khướu đá hoa, Gypsophila annamensis)
native to the limestone hills of northern Indochina.

The Annam limestone babbler (Gypsophila annamensis) is a species of bird in the family Pellorneidae. 

Pellorneum, Pellorneidae: combines the Ancient Greek pellos meaning "dark-coloured" with orneon meaning "bird".
Gypsophila :Greek gupsos chalk, gypsum; philos fond of.
annamensis: supposed to be from Annam which is wrong.

Gypsophila is a genus of birds in the family Pellorneidae.

Limestone wren-babbler has been split into three species:
- Annam limestone babbler, Gypsophila annamensis
- Rufous limestone babbler, Gypsophila calcicola
- Variable limestone babbler, Gypsophila crispifrons

The streaked wren-babbler (Gypsophila brevicaudata) is a species of bird in the family Pellorneidae. 

Some consider the Annam Streaked Wren-babbler a subspecies of the streaked wren-babbler(Gypsophila brevicaudata).
