Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve, Saigon

Can Gio is a district of Ho Chi Minh City. Can Gio is composed of different islands separated by tributaries of the Saigon River (Dong Nai River), the Vam Co River and the East Vietnam Sea. The district is 60km southeast of Ho Chi Minh City. Most of the islands of Can Gio are covered by mangrove forests.

Bidoup Nui Ba National Park, Lam Dong

The Bidoup Nui Ba National Park is mostly in Lac Duong District and a part in Dam Rong District, Lam Dong Province, 50km north of Da Lat. The area of the national park stretches nearly all of the Lang Biang (Lam Vien) Plateau.

Nam Dam Village, Quan Ba, Ha Giang

The Nam Dam Village (in Quan Ba District, Ha Giang Province) is 2km from Tam Son Town, home to Dzao Cham People. Traditionally the villagers got income from agriculture and from growing traditional herbs. Khe Ro Forest, Bac Giang

The Khe Ro Forest is in An Lac, Son Dong, Bac Giang Province. The forest is 100km east of Bac Giang provincial capital and 160km northeast of Hanoi. The Khe Ro Forest is a part of the Tay Yen Tu Nature Reserve with mostly high forested mountains which stretch over 7,000 hectares.

Ba Khan is a little community by the Da River at the base of the Thung Khe Pass in Mai Chau, Hoa Binh. Phat Tich Pagoda, Bac Ninh

The Phat Tich Pagoda is in Phat Tich Commune, Tien Du District, Bac Ninh Province in northern Vietnam. There is no definitive confirmation as to when the pagoda was built.

The Old Quarter of Hanoi

But Thap Pagoda, Bac Ninh

The But Thap Pagoda is in But Thap Village, Dinh To Commune, Thuan Thanh District, Bac Ninh Province. The name of the pagoda was given by King Tu Duc on a visit to the pagoda in 1876. The king found the tower at the pagoda had the shape of a pen, But Thap in Vietnamese means the Pen Tower.

Co To Island, Quang Ninh

Van Long Nature Reserve, Ninh Binh

Van Long Nature Reserve is flooded land covering 3,000 hectares with ranges of karst mountains all around in Gia Van Commune, Gia Vien District, Ninh Binh Province. The nature reserve is 90km south of Hanoi via Route 1, 18km northwest of Ninh Binh City.

Tho Ha Village, Ba Giang

The Do Temple, Bac Ninh

The Do Temple in Dinh Bang Village in Bac Ninh is dedicated to the 8 kings of the Ly Dynasty who ruled Dai Viet Kingdom (Vietnam) from 1010 A.D to 1225 A.D. The village was the homeland of King Ly Cong Uan who started the dynasty. The original temple was built in 1030 and has been renewed many times.

Originally, Trang An was the name of the city at Hoa Lu after the capital of Dai Viet Kingdom (Vietnam then) was moved to Hanoi in 1010 C.E.

Dong Van Karst Plateau, Ha Giang

 Dong Van Karst Plateau is located in Ha Giang Province, northern Vietnam. The plateau has the elevation from 1,400m to 1,600m above sea level and 80% of the surface consisted of rock. There is a high concentration of rocky mountain peaks of over 2,000m in the plateau.

To Thi Mountain is 2km from Lang Son City Center. The Mountain offers spectacular view of the whole city. Visiting To Thi Mountain can be combined with visit to the Caves of Tam Thanh, Nhi Thanh. The mountain has paths for hiking, but do it with good care due to slippery sand.
