Russet bush warbler

The russet bush warbler (Locustella mandelli) is a songbird species placed in the newly recognized family Locustellidae.

The genus name Locustella is from Latin and is a diminutive of locusta, "grasshopper".
The scientific name commemorates the Italian naturalist Louis Mandelli.

Brown bush warbler 
(Chích bụi rậm nâu, Locustella luteoventris )
Formerly placed in the "Old World warbler" assemblage as Bradypterus luteoventrus, it is now placed in the newly recognized family Locustellidae.

The brown bush warbler (Locustella luteoventris) is a songbird species of the family Locustellidae.
The bird is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Hong Kong, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The genus name Locustella is from Latin and is a diminutive of locusta, "grasshopper".
luteoventris Latin luteus saffron-yellow; venter, ventris belly.

The lanceolated warbler

The lanceolated warbler (Locustella lanceolata) is a species of Old World warbler in the grass warbler genus Locustella.
The bird breeds from northeast European Russia across the Palearctic to northern Hokkaidō, Japan. 
It is migratory, wintering in Southeast Asia.


The genus name Locustella is from Latin and is a diminutive of locusta, "grasshopper".
The specific lanceolata is Latin for "spear-shaped" and refers to the streaks on the breast.

Baikal bush warbler (Locustella davidi), 
also known as Baikal grasshopper-warbler or David's bush warbler

The Baikal bush warbler (Locustella davidi), also known as Baikal grasshopper-warbler or David's bush warbler, is a migratory species of Old World warbler in the family Locustellidae.

The bird breeds from the southern part of the Russian Far East to northeast China and North Korea. It winters from southern China south to northern Thailand.

The genus name Locustella is from Latin and is a diminutive of locusta, "grasshopper".

Urosphena is a genus of Old World warblers in the family Cettiidae, formerly classified in the family Sylviidae. 
The birds of this genus is similar to genus Cettia but have shorter tails.

The Asian stubtail (Urosphena squameiceps) is a bird in the family Cettiidae. 
The bird breeds in Korea, Manchuria and Japan and winters to southern China and northern Southeast Asia. 

Traits:
- Dark-eyelined, blackish-eyelined;
- Whitish-browed, brownish-browed, yellowish-browed;
- Short-tailed;


Urosphena Greek oura tail; sphen, sphenos wedge.
squameiceps, squamiceps Latin squameus scaly, (squama scale); -ceps -capped (caput head).

Hemitesia is a genus of small insectivorous songbirds which make up the core of the family Cettiidae.

pallidipes combines the Latin pallidus meaning "pale" with pes meaning "foot".

The name Hemitesia combines the Ancient Greek hēmi- meaning "half-" or "small" with the genus Tesia.
Tesia Nepalese name Tisi for the Grey-bellied Tesia Tesia cyaniventer.

Pale-footed bush warbler 
(Chích Vân Nam, Hemitesia pallidipes)

The pale-footed bush warbler (Hemitesia pallidipes) is a species of oriental warbler in the family Cettiidae that is found in southern Asia.
The bird is found in the Himalayan region west from Dehradun through the foothills of Nepal to northeastern India, in Myanmar, Laos, northern Vietnam and southern China.

The name Hemitesia combines the Ancient Greek hēmi- meaning "half-" or "small" with the genus Tesia.
Tesia Nepalese name Tisi for the Grey-bellied Tesia Tesia cyaniventer.

Horornis is a genus of small insectivorous songbirds ("warblers") which make up the core of the newly recognized family Cettiidae.

The brown-flanked bush warbler (Horornis fortipes), also known as the brownish-flanked bush warbler, is a species of bush-warbler of the family Cettiidae. The bird is found in Himalayas, South China and Southeast Asia.


Horornis: Greek oros mountain; ornis bird.

Aberrant Bush-Warbler 
(Chích mày vàng, Horornis flavolivaceus)

The aberrant bush warbler (Horornis flavolivaceus) is a species in the bush warbler family, Cettiidae.
The bird is found in Bhutan, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam, and also in northeastern and southeastern Bangladesh.


Horornis: Greek oros mountain; ornis bird.
The specific epithet flavolivaceus combines the Latin flavus meaning "yellow" with the Modern Latin olivaceus meaning "olive-green".
