The scarlet-faced liocichla (Liocichla ripponi) is a bird in the family Leiothrichidae.
The bird is found in Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, and southern China.

Leiothrix Leiothrichidae Ancient Greek leios meaning "smooth" and thrix meaning "hair".
liocichlas: lio possibly from Greek leios for smooth; cichlas from Greek kikhle for thrush.
