Himalayan cutia

The Himalayan cutia (Cutia nipalensis) is a bird species in the family Leiothrichidae.
This species inhabits the Himalayan region, from India to northern Thailand.

The cutias are the passerine bird genus Cutia in the family Leiothrichidae.
The name is derived from the Nepali name khatya or khutya for the type species, the Himalayan cutia (C. nipalensis).
Related to the alcippes and the laughingthrushes.
