Grey-Crowned Crocias

The grey-crowned crocias (Laniellus langbianis) is a passerine bird in the family Leiothrichidae.

Leiothrix Leiothrichidae: Ancient Greek leios meaning "smooth" and thrix meaning "hair".
Laniellus possibly from Latin Lanius: "butcher".
Ancient Greek κροκίας or krokías: “a saffron-colored stone”.
