Detailed itinerary

Day1 ( Thursday ) Hanoi – Ha Giang City (320km) (B)

0800 A.M Our team picks you up at your hotel in Hanoi and enjoy a smooth journey through the countryside and mountains in the far north of Vietnam to Ha Giang City.

Day2 ( Friday ) Ha Giang – Dong Van Plateau: Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Dong Van (150km) (B)The amazing Rock Plateau of Dong Van, Ha Giang, Vietnam

Breakfast and then take a wonderful trip uphill. As we climb up the hillsides, you’ll adore the amazing landscape below. Stop at the Gateway to Heaven at Quan Ba to take in the magnificent views.

As soon as we pass Yen Minh Town, you’ll be dazzled by the sheer rock plateau with amazing valleys and dense gathering of rocky peaks. You’ll come from one surprise to another with schools built on rock, family houses surrounded by rocks and local ethnic people tilling corn farms on the rock!

Before reaching Dong Van, we’ll visit the former residence of the Vuong Family, once the King of the Hmong in Dong Van. The residence has a wonderful architecture.

Day3 ( Saturday ) Dong Van Plateau: Dong Van– Lung Cu (30km) – Lung Tao – Dong Van/Afternoon visit Dong Van Old Town (B)

Have the whole morning getting lost in the northernmost region of Vietnam. If lucky we could catch the Ma Le Market. We’ll climb Lung Cu Flag Tower to take in panoramic views of the surroundings.

Descending the flag tower, we’ll travel back to Dong Van via Lung Tao with amazing rock formations and mountains. In the afternoon, walking tour of Dong Van Old Town.Ma Pi Leng Pass, Ha Giang, Vietnam

Day4 ( Sunday ) Dong Van Market – Me Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac – Ha Giang (180km) (B)

Enjoy breakfast and a visit to the amazing weekend market of Dong Van. You’ll be in a different world! Then we travel back to the hotel for checking out. The rest of the morning for more of the amazing world of the Rock Plateau of Dong Van. We’ll adore the sublime Ma Pi Leng Pass with the Nho Que River far underneath.

Proceed to Meo Vac and have a brief stop to visit the little township before taking a hidden road amid spectacular rock via Sung Tra & Lung Phin to Yen Minh. Then make our way back to Ha Giang City.

Day5 ( Monday ) Ha Giang – Bac Ha (250km) (B)

Have breakfast and travel via a scenic road in Hoang Su Phi which are famed for amazing rice terraces when in season. There are plenty ethnic villages of the Dao, Nung,.. that you can visit on the way.

Later in the day, we’ll arrive at Bac Ha, a scenic plateau famed for juicy and sweet plums. Have some short walk amid ethnic villages in Bac Ha.

Day6 ( Tuesday ) Bac Ha – Coc Ly Market – Sapa (100km) (B)

Have breakfast and visit Coc Ly Market which is in session only on Tuesday morning. Then have a boat trip on the Chay River to visit some Tay communities inhabiting in the mountains. Join our car for further trip to Sapa.

Day7 ( Wednesday ) Sapa full day trekking (B)

Have breakfast and enjoy a full day trekking amid the wild mountains and ethnic villages.

Day8 ( Thursday ) Sapa – Hanoi (B)

Breakfast and have a hiking tour to visit Cat Cat Waterfall and a village of the Hmong.
Travel back to town for lunch, then enjoy a road back to Hanoi. We arrive at your hotel in Hanoi in late afternoon. We trust you have had a sensational adventure to Ha Giang and Sapa with AdventureGreen.
