AdventureGreen Stops Elephant Riding Tours in Dak Lak Vietnam From November 2022

In November 2022 the People’s Committee of Dak Lak Province has approved the project for stopping elephant riding tours and for offering elephant-friendly tourism. The project is to be completed in 2022-November through 2026-December.

According to statistics by Dak Lak Center for Conservation of Elephants, there are 140 elephants in the province nowadays and this number was over 1,400 in 1980. Vietnam had destructive wars with lots of battles and lots of wildlife killed due to bombardments, defoliants… in 1954-1975.

AdventureGreen has a some elephant riding tours in Dak Lak Province of Vietnam. By this announcement we would like to inform our travelers, partnered travel agents and tour companies that we no longer offer elephant riding tours in Vietnam from November 2022.

All elephant riding tours on our website are to be replaced by more creative itineraries which are more environmentally friendly, animal-friendly and for better life of local communities in the long terms! We trust our travelers and partnered travel agencies understand and support us for responsible travel.
