Bac Ninh On The Back Of A Motorbike is a one day adventure tour that you ride pillion on a scooter/moped zipping through the scenic country roads of Bac Ninh Province. The highlights include country life teeming with farming activities, ancient pagodas and temples, handicraft villages and lunch at a family's home. The trip can be customized to be a photo tour upon request, on which you will be guided by a professional photographer.

Tour Overview

Your motorbike driver is more likely a student studying at a college/university in Hanoi. The job helps them to practice their English and to earn someA panoramic view of the countryside of Phat Tich income. Your driver is definitely helpful in assisting you to have close communion with villagers. The total distance the trip covers is about 80km.

The trip departs every Saturday and Sunday.

Detailed itinerary

08:00 A.M AdventureGreen's tour guide and travel fellows pick you up from your hotel in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. The adventure starts with a fun ride through the busy traffic of the city to Long Bien Bridge. We will stop on the bridge for shooting photos of the rustic frames which have become an unofficial studio for photo enthusiasts.

Then, we continue further to the Duong River where you can shoot photos of riparian life. The 17-century pagoda of But Thap is our next stop. Be sure you have a wide lens to take in the beautiful architecture of the pagoda. A short ride from But Thap brings us to Dong Ho folk painting village. You will learn a great deal about the tradition and techniques for making folk arts from the artists.

More ride on the country road which travels through rice fields and villages brings us more photos and encounters. The next visit is at Phat Tich Pagoda, 12-century Buddhist pagoda with great settings and surroundings. It'd take a while to visit the different buildings of the complex and to climb the mountain for a panoramic view of the countryside.

Descending the mountain, we will follow a hilly road to a peaceful village where lunch is served at a family.

After lunch, we move on to Dinh Bang Village where we visit the famous Do Temple dedicated to the 8 kings of the Ly Dynasty. Photography folks will have more time and setups here shooting photos of the architecture and folk-song singers in traditional costumes.

Our next visit is at Dong Ky Wooden Furniture Village where you learn about the different styles of wooden decorations and shoot photos of villagers at work.

More ride through village roads to Co Loa Ancient Citadel which was the capital of Au Lac Kingdom (3rd century B.C.). Not much left nowadays, but our guide will show you the general layout of the ancient citadel and parts of the dirt walls left. Then we follow the dike of the Red River back to the city. The adventure concludes at your hotel.
