Sapa Trekking Tour 6 Days

Sapa Trekking Tour is a hard adventure holiday in Sapa for 6 days 5 nights with trekking distance each day from 18km to over 25km.

Most of the time, we trek on an elevation of above 2,000m above sea level. The hiking paths include muddy buffalo trails on steep and slippery mountain slopes. The perfect time for the trek is from February through April.

The weather is erratic in between May-October, during which it may be torrential rain or unbearableBlack Hmong in Sapa Vietnam sunshine within just one day. It is normally freezing cold in December and January. Be sure you have suitable outfits, ponchos or raincoats, hiking shoes, degradable soap and medicine before taking the adventure.

On the tour, we trek from the north to the south of Muong Hoa Valley, around the base of the Hoang Lien Mountain Range. The natural landscape is just amazing, and so is the life of local ethnic groups. All meals during the trek are included and prepared by our local cook, who travels with us all the way.

Accommodations on the tour are at the houses of different ethnic families in different villages. The conditions are rustic and may be just way below your expectation. There is enough time every day for you to get familiarized and to engage yourself into the local way of life. After dinner, there is atmospheric time for cultural exchange with our hosts.

On the first night, we board the overnight train from Hanoi for Lao Cai. We have 4-shared train compartment with air-conditioning and soft-sleepers.Muong Hoa Valley in Sapa Vietnam

Arriving at Lao Cai Train Station early in the morning on the second day, our car is ready to take us further to Sapa Town where we have time for refreshment and breakfast. Then, walk out of Sapa Town on the train to Cat Cat Village for the imposing view of Fansipan Mountain where our trekking starts. Today, the trekking paths are clean mostly, the scenery is fresh and the view is amazing. But, there are quite a few gradients that we have to climb up and down that requires some exertion. There are villages of the Black Hmong that we travel through today like Cat Cat, Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai. Tonight, we stay at Ta Van Village, a Giay community.

On the third day, we trek through bamboo forests, a waterfall and travel through some areas isolated by dense forests. The gradients could be very steep and slippery when it rains. It is extremely important that we hike with caution today. We'll treat ourselves with a few great moments with breaks at the waterfall and on rocks in a river amid a wild forest. Tonight, we stay with a Red Dzao family.Muong Hoa Valley in Sapa Vietnam

On the fourth day, we trek mostly down hill with more relaxing pace. The view is mostly terraced rice fields and villages of the Red Zao and Tay. We'll spend the night with a Tay family living in a house on stilts.

On the fifth day, we walk for a couple of hours from the village to the meeting point with our car for the transfer back to Sapa Town. We'll have our day-use room for refreshment until departing for the night train. Free time for some relaxing time in Sapa Town in the afternoon. Overnight train for Hanoi.

On the sixth day, we arrive at Hanoi early in the morning. We'll travel by taxi to the hotel concluding the great adventure to Sapa.
