Apart from the cultural experiences, you will visit captivating natural beauties on the tour: The Muong Lo Valley which is the second biggest valley in the North-West of Vietnam and Moc Chau Plateau with altitude over 1,000m above sea level with rolling hills and vast green pastures, vegetable gardens and tea plantations… Nghia Lo and Moc Chau are the 2 gateways to the wild North-West of Vietnam and they both possess interesting historical events.

The tour follows a less-traveled route that passes through Thanh Son – Tan Son (Phu Tho Province) and Phu Yen (Son La) of which the landscape is dramatically different from the lowland. Day1 Hanoi – Duong Lam Village – Thai Village Muong Lo Nghia Lo Valley (L/D)

0800 A.M Our team picks you up from your hotel in Hanoi and we travel via route 32 to Son Tay Town. At Son Tay, visit the ancient village of Duong Lam where you can learn about the village life of the Viet People in the past and their ancient architecture. We will also visit Mia Pagoda with well-preserved architecture from the 17th century.

Continue our adventure amid the forested mountains at Thanh Son and Tan Son Districts of Phu Tho Province.
Lunch at Thu Cuc.
Ascend the Deo Khe Pass with lovely history and captivating views of the wild landscape around. Descend Deo Khe Pass and make our way further into the fresh valley of Muong Lo at Nghia Lo with lovely rice fields. Muong Lo is the second biggest valley in the North West and inhabited mostly by the Thai people. Stop for sightseeing before making our way to the hosts' family.

Day2 Muong Lo Nghia Lo – Phu Yen – Moc Chau Plateau (B/L/D)

Breakfast at the family.
0800 A.M Bidding farewell to our friendly hosts and travel back some part of Route 32. When you see the road starts going up with views of stunning nature around then you are well in the area of the Lung Lo Pass, a very famous one during the Franco-VietMinh War. Stop for sightseeing. Then, descend the mountain and travel further into the 3rd biggest valley in the North West of Vietnam – Muong Tac at Phu Yen (Son La Province). Stop for sightseeing and make our way further by the side of the Da River. Cross a ferry at Van Yen and climb all our way in the Moc Chau Plateau to the Moc Chau Farm Town. You will have lovely photos of rolling hills and splendid mountain peaks on the way!

Lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon is for visiting tea plantations, ethnic villages and plum gardens at Moc Chau. You will surely enjoy the purely fresh air of this highland and would like to take in as much as possible.

Day3 Moc Chau – Mai Chau – Hanoi (B/L)

Breakfast at the hotel.
Our adventure continues through the beautiful nature of Moc Chau Plateau. Road goes down mostly and you can get sweeping views of the scenes of mountains, villages… Stop for sightseeing and for photography at Van Ho, then continue all the way to Mai Chau Valley. Mai Chau is a popular tourist attraction thanks to the Thai communities here and thanks to the close proximity to Hanoi. We will have lunch at a Thai family on a house on stilts and have time to visit the villages.
