Mekong Delta Cycling Tour is an adventure holiday by bike through the exotic Mekong Delta in southern Vietnam for 7 days 6 nights.

Mekong Delta Cycling Tour Overview

The highlight of the adventure is to enjoy the idyllic countryside with peaceful and slow-paced life of local inhabitants slowly... Traveling by bike makes us part of the local communities, which is different from traveling by car or bus. Besides, the Mekong Delta is crisscrossed by thousands of rivers and canals mostly not accessible by car; traveling by bike, we can visit most communities with interesting lifestyle which are hidden from the crowds.

On the tour, there are various chances for you to not only watch the local life but also to engage into it. You will learn to cross squeaky “monkey bridges” which span many canals and rivers on our biking route; you will need to haggle for your condensed milk coffee at local floating markets, you will pick your own fresh fruits in exuberant orchards...

We get a car transfer to My Tho, gateway to the Mekong Delta. From My Tho, we cycle on quiet village paved roads under the shade of coconut forests to visit Ben Tre. We have a visit to a local garden house and enjoy seasonal fruits before continuing our trip to Tra Vinh.

Tra Vinh is bounded by the Tien River to the north and the Hau River to the south. The two rivers are the biggest branches of the Mekong River in Vietnam. Tra Vinh City is virtually covered in forests with timber trees of hundred years old. At Tra Vinh, we cycle to Ao Ba Om and the stork sanctuary at the Hang Pagoda.

We have a boat trip to visit Cai Rang Floating Market where locals trade in agricultural produce. You could tell their trade from the goods displayed on a pole in front of the boat.
