Sichuan thrush

formerly considered as conspecific with the Alpine thrush and the Himalayan thrush as the plain-backed thrush, split off in 2016.
The Sichuan thrush or Sichuan forest thrush (Zoothera griseiceps) is a species of bird in the thrush family Turdidae.
The bird breeds in central China and winters in northern Vietnam.
The genus name Zoothera combines the Ancient Greek zōon meaning "animal" with -thēra meaning "hunter".
