Mrs. Gould's Sunbird

Nectariniidae from Latin nectar, from Ancient Greek νέκταρ (néktar, “nourishment of the gods”): the drink of the gods.
The name Aethopyga combines the Ancient Greek aithos meaning "fire" or "burning heat" with puge meaning "rump".
named after British bird artist Elizabeth Gould.

Mrs. Gould's sunbird is a sunbird species native to forests and shrublands from the southern foothills of the Himalayas to Southeast Asia.

The Annam Sunbird, found in Da Lat and the Lang Biang Mountain, is an endemic sub species of the Mrs Gould's Sunbird.

Black-Throated Sunbird
(Hút mật ngực đỏ, Aethopyga saturata)

Nectariniidae from Latin nectar, from Ancient Greek νέκταρ (néktar, “nourishment of the gods”): the drink of the gods.

Langbiang Sunbird (Aethopyga saturata johnsi) is considered by some a subspecies of the Black-throated Sunbird.

The bird is found in South-east Asia from the Himalayas to southern China, northwestern Thailand and northern Indochina.

The family name Muscicapidae is from Muscicapa which comes from the Latin musca, a fly and capere, to catch.

Some consider the Langbiang Lesser Shortwing (Brachypteryx leucophris langbianensis) a subspecies of the Lesser Shortwing.

The genus Brachypteryx from the classical Greek: brakhus mean "short" and pterux meaning "wing".

The lesser shortwing, a species of chat, is now classified in the family Muscicapidae.

The white-cheeked laughingthrush is a species of bird in the family Leiothrichidae.

Traits: white-cheeked, gray crown and nape, black lores and black hair at the base of the bill.

 formerly placed in the genus Garrulax.

The white-throated laughingthrush (Pterorhinus albogularis) is a species of passerine bird in the family Leiothrichidae.
The bird is found mainly in the northern regions of the Indian subcontinent, primarily the Himalayas, and some adjoining and disjunct areas: Afghanistan, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Tibet and Vietnam.

Wayanad laughingthrush

Once placed in Crateropus, Dryonastes or Garrulax, Ianthocincla.

The Wayanad laughingthrush (Pterorhinus delesserti) is a species of laughingthrush in the family Leiothrichidae. It is endemic to the Western Ghats south of Goa in India.

Some resemblance to the rufous-vented laughingthrush (Pterorhinus gularis) of northeastern India which has a yellow throat. 
Some older treatments considered lumped delesserti with gularis.

The ranges of delesserti and gularis are widely disjunct but museum specimens can be told apart by the pale lower mandible of delesserti unlike the all dark bill of gularis. 
The tail is uniformly coloured and is darker than the back in delesserti while that of gularis is pale with rufous outer tail feathers. 
The chin is yellow in gularis while white in delesserti.

The specific epithet was chosen to honour the French naturalist Adolphe Delessert who had collected specimens from near Kotagiri in the state of Tamil Nadu, India.

The bird is found in China, Hong Kong, India, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The bird is found in Sumatra (Indonesia) and the Thai-Malay Peninsula.
