Thick-billed flowerpecker (Pachyglossa agilis)  is a tiny bird in the flowerpecker family Dicaeidae.

Dicaeidae, Dicaeum: Greek dikaion supposedly an Indian bird mentioned by Aelianus.
The genus name Pachyglossa combines the Ancient Greek παχυς/pakhus meaning "thick" with γλωσσα/glōssa meaning "tongue", "mouth" (or "bill").
