Red-footed booby (Chim điên chân đỏ, Sula sula)
The red-footed booby (Sula sula) is a large seabird of the booby family, Sulidae.
This species is found widely in the tropics of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans.
The bird breeds colonially in coastal regions.
The English name "booby" was possibly based on the Spanish slang term bobo, meaning "stupid", as these tame birds had a habit of landing on board sailing ships, where they were easily captured and eaten.
Suliformes, Sulidae, or Sula is derived from the Old Norse word sūla, which refers to a gannet or a pillar.
