Gypsophila is a genus of birds in the family Pellorneidae.

Pellorneum, Pellorneidae: combines the Ancient Greek pellos meaning "dark-coloured" with orneon meaning "bird".

Limestone wren-babbler has been split into three species:

- Variable limestone babbler, Gypsophila crispifrons
