The Jacobin cuckoo (Clamator jacobinus), also pied cuckoo or pied crested cuckoo, is a member of the cuckoo order of birds that is found in Africa and Asia. 
The bird is partially migratory.

Cuculiformes, Cuculidae derived from the Ancient Greek kokkyx (cuckoo) and Latin cuculus, which likely mimic the bird’s call. 

The name Clamator is Latin for "shouter" from clamare, "to shout".
