Brown dipper

The brown dipper (Cinclus pallasii) is an aquatic songbird found in the mountains of the east Palearctic.
The name cinclus is from the Ancient Greek word kinklos that was used to describe small tail-wagging, tail-bobbing birds that resided near water.
The genus is the only genus in the family Cinclidae.
