    The black redstart (Phoenicurus ochruros) is a small passerine bird in the genus Phoenicurus of the Old World flycatcher (Muscicapidae). 

    Redstart means a red start or a red tail (start means an old name for tail English). The species is of the genus Phoenicurus.
    The name Phoenicurus is from Ancient Greek φοινιξ (phoinix), "(Phoenician) crimson/purple", and ουροσ (-ouros) -"tailed".
    The specific ochruros is from okhros, "pale yellow" and -ouros for tail.

    The blue-fronted redstart (Phoenicurus frontalis) is a species of bird in the family Muscicapidae, the Old World flycatchers. 
    The bird breeds in central China and the Himalayas and winters in the southern foothills, as well as in southern Yunnan, the Patkai and northern Indochina.

    The Daurian redstart (Phoenicurus auroreus) is a small passerine bird of the flycatcher family Muscicapidae.
    The bird is found in Manchuria, southeastern Russia, northeastern Mongolia, central China and Korea. 
    This species winters in Korea, Japan, southeast coastal China and Taiwan, in northeast India and parts of Southeast Asia.

    The white-capped redstart or white-capped water redstart (Phoenicurus leucocephalus) is a passerine bird of the Old World flycatcher family Muscicapidae. The bird is native to the Indian Subcontinent,Southeast Asia, much of China, and to certain regions of Central Asia.
    The species ranges across Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Tajikistan, Thailand, Tibet and Vietnam.
