    Abbott's Babbler 
    (Chuối tiêu mỏ to, Malacocincla abbotti)

    Abbott's babbler is a species of bird in the family Pellorneidae.

    Difference between Abbott's babbler vs Buff-breasted babbler:
        - Abbott's. Heavy grey bill, extensive grey eye-ring, rich orange brown lower belly and undertail coverts, short tail.
        - Buff-breasted has a slighter and paler-colored bill, a much longer tail and is uniformly buff-brown in colour. 

    Pellorneum, Pellorneidae: combines the Ancient Greek pellos meaning "dark-coloured" with orneon meaning "bird".
    The genus name Malacocincla combines the Ancient Greek malakos meaning "soft" with modern Latin cinclus, meaning "thrush"; referring to the birds' full and drooping plumage.
    The specific name abbotti was chosen by Blyth to honour the specimen collector, Lieutenant Colonel J. R. Abbott (1811–1888).
