Vietnam Adventure Tour is one of AdventureGreen's budget adventure tours in Vietnam in 16 days, 15 nights. The trip is scheduled with departure every Friday from Hanoi.
Vietnam Adventure Tour Overview
The travel itinerary covers most of the must-see and off-the-tourist-track attractions in Vietnam from the North through the Central Region to the South. The long-distance travels are by train.
In the North, we travel from the mountains of Sapa inhabited by the colorful hill tribes to the Red River Delta and the stunning World Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay. In the Central Region, the tour covers the former battlefields (DMZ), the Imperial Citadel and Hoi An Old Town, Nha Trang Beach City. In the South, we visit the verdant Mekong River Delta on a day trip from Saigon.
The tour activities include extensively trekking and hiking in Sapa; sea cruising on Ha Long Bay; historical and battlefield touring in the Central Region and South Vietnam; river cruising on the Mekong River. The pace of the tour is mostly moderate, except for Sapa where the tour grade is hard trek.
On the trip, the accommodations include adventure hotels with basic facilities. Transports for the tour include boat, train and car. All in all, Vietnam Adventure is a complete authentic experience of Vietnam in all senses.

Day1 ( Friday ) Arrive in Ha Noi (no included meals)
Arriving at Ha Noi Airport, you’ll be welcomed by our driver and tour guide, and transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure.
Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day2 ( Saturday ) Ha Noi Half Day City Tour/Night Train for Lao Cai (SP1: 2130-0530 Day+1)(B)

1100 A.M We check out of the hotel and have our luggage in the storage area of the hotel.
1300 Enjoy a walking tour of easy tour of the 1000 year old city of Hanoi. We’ll will visit different highlights of Ha Noi including: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (from outside), the Presidential Palace, The Military History Museum, the Temple of Literature - 1st University of Vietnam.
1700 Have free time for refreshment and dinner.
2000 Our tour guide assists you for a taxi transfer to Ha Noi Train Station for the night train for Lao Cai.

Day3 ( Sunday ) Arrive in Lao Cai (0530 A.M/Lao Cai - Sa Pa/Sapa Trekking to Ta Van/Ta Van – Sapa (By car) (-/L)
Arriving at Lao Cai in the early morning, met by our driver and transferred to Sapa. Your room in Sapa may not be ready yet but we can leave some of the luggage at the storage area, and head out for a trekking tour in the Muong Hoa Valley. We’ll visit Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai and Ta Van Villages.
Have a picnic lunch.
Later in the day, our van transfers you from Ta Van Village back to Sapa Town.

12:30 Enjoy a walking tour to Cat Cat Waterfall and Cat Cat Village.
17:00 Transferred to Lao Cai Train Station for the overnight train bound for Hanoi.

Day5 ( Tuesday ) Arrive at Hanoi (0432 A.M)/Ha Noi – Ha Long Bay Junk Cruise (-/L/D)
Arriving in Ha Noi in early morning, we’ll be transferred for 3 hour (170 km) through the Red River Delta to Halong Bay. At half way, we will have a stop at a handicraft workshop with fine clothes, embroidered paintings, stone statuettes and all kinds of gems mined in Vietnam such as star rubies or sapphires... You have time for refreshment and breakfast here. Breakfast is on your own account.
Upon arrival in Halong City, you will be welcomed on board a junk and treated to lunch with fresh local seafood. Time for relaxation as our junk glides further into the tranquility of Ha Long Bay amid the towering mountain cliffs and on the emerald green water. Later in the afternoon, we will stop for visiting the amazing Sung Sot cave and the Ti Top white sand beach before anchoring for the night.

Day6 ( Wednesday ) Ha Long Bay – Ha Noi/Night Train for Dong Ha (SE1: 1930-0730 Day+1) (B/L)
After breakfast, we will take a little sampan to visit a secret lagoon of Ha Long Bay, have some time to meditate in the peacefulness of the lagoon. Then more cruise on the bay and back to the harbor for disembarkation at 10.45 A.M. Lunch at a restaurant at the harbor.
We rejoin our bus and make our way to Ha Noi. You can leave your luggage in the storage area of the hotel. Have free time at leisure until our tour guide comes back and assists you back to the train station by taxi for the overnight train for Hue.

Arriving at Dong Ha Town early in the morning, meet our local team and get to a local restaurant for refreshment and breakfast on your own account.
Enjoy a day tour back in time of the war in Vietnam. We’ll travel to the formerly fierce battlefields including Khe Sanh Air Base, Vinh Moc Tunnels and Ben Hai River (former pision line between North and South Vietnam). In late afternoon, we’ll travel to Hue.

Depart by car/van on a scenic route southward. We will have stops for sightseeing at the Lang Co Beach and Hai Van Pass. Descend into Da Nang and follow the coastal road to Hoi An Old Town.

Have leisure until we transfer you to Da Nang Train Station for the day train for Nha Trang. Arriving at Nha Trang in the evening, our guide welcomes you at the train station and assists you to the hotel by taxi. We’ll check into our hotel and enjoy free time.

Board the day train for Ho Chi Minh City, still called Sai Gon by many locals. Arriving in the evening, welcomed by our tour guide at Saigon Train Station and travel to the hotel by taxi.

In the morning, we drive 136 km( 4 hours) from Ho Chi Minh city to Vinh Long town. Upon arrival, we will board our boat and start to explore the islands of the Mekong Delta. We will visit: a temple or a community house, brick-making, pottery factories, a bean-curd making family, a blacksmith, rice-husking process… and learn about the real local life.
Lunch is served at a family on an island.
In the afternoon, meet our driver again for the trip back to Saigon.
