Bac Giang of Vietnam is a hilly province, 50km from Hanoi. Geographically, Bac Giang belongs to the Northeast of Vietnam. Bac Giang is completely off the tourist track, and almost no good travel guide or tourism information is provided to the travelers about the province.

While most foreign travelers would give Bac Giang a miss planning their trips to Vietnam, the province is a real charm to the adventure travel enthusiasts at AdventureGreen. The province is home to a number of villages with vanishing occupations and with untouched traditions. There are 20 ethnic groups like San Chay, San Chi, Kinh, Tay, Nung, Dzao,...with rich cultural heritage. Their villages are not visited by tourists mostly.

There are also interesting history lessons to be learned at Xuong Giang, Lang Giang, Yen The… and other old battlefields in Bac Giang.

To the north of the province, there are high mountain peaks as well as patches of primeval forests at Luc Nam, Luc Ngan, Son Dong,... which are ideal for trekking, hiking trips and for ecotourism. At Son Dong District, there is a little prairie at Dong Cao that provides excellent opportunities for camping and photography.

While the cultural heritage has been untouched in Bac Giang, there has been illegal logging and poaching in the province, which has led to the ongoing disappearance of forests and wildlife. It is also worrisome that at some tourist attractions tourism starts spontaneously that bring no good to the local communities nor to the local natural environment.
