Ba Ria Vung Tau Province is bordered to the north by Dong Nai Province, to the north-east by Binh Thuan Province, to the east, the south and south-west by the East-Vietnam Sea, and to the west by Ho Chi Minh City. The province has over 100km of coastline, of which over 70km has sandy beaches. Vung Tau City was among the first destinations in Vietnam that  travellers flocked to for beach holidays.

Binh Thuan Province is in the southern coast of Vietnam. The capital of Binh Thuan Province is the city of Phan Thiet, 150km south of Phan Rang – Thap Cham and 200km north-east of Ho Chi Minh City.

Binh Thuan Province along with Ninh Thuan Province is the most arid region of Vietnam with the average rainfall of 1,024mm per annum (some areas in the region receives less than 500mm of rainfall per year), with average humidity of 79% and with average temperate of 27 Degrees Celsius. There are two seasons in Binh Thuan Province: the rainy season is from May through October and the dry season is from November through April.

Ninh Thuan Province is in the South Central Coast of Vietnam, north of Binh Thuan Province and south of Khanh Hoa Province. The capital city of  Ninh Thuan Province is Phan Rang – Thap Cham, 350km north of Saigon, 150km north of Phan Thiet City, 50km south of Nha Trang - Cam Ranh Airport, 110km east of Da Lat.

Khanh Hoa Province is located in the South Central Region of Vietnam, south of Phu Yen Province and north of Ninh Thuan Province. Khanh Hoa Province is bordered to the east by the East Vietnam Sea and to the west by the mountains of the Central Highlands of Vietnam. The provincial capital of Khanh Hoa is Nha Trang, well-known to the foreign travellers to Vietnam with strips of white sandy beaches and turquoise blue sea water.
